Longans
Affectionately known as the 'Dragon's Eye'.

The longan is a delicate sweet fruit. It makes for a great healthy snack suitable to any time of day.
Benefits:
- Longans are a good source of vitamin C.
- They contain 80% water.
- Longans are low in fat.
Storage:
- Store refrigerated for up to fourteen days or at room
temperature for up to five days.
Taste:
- The translucent flesh is sweet and musky with a slightly tangy flavour.
Preparation:
- Simply squeeze at the stalk end of the fruit and the pulp should be released. Do not eat the seed.
Tip:
- Longan fruit is generally consumed fresh out-of-hand, although some maintain the fruit is improved by cooking. Why not try adding to a Thai Curry - served in a Kulaway Nut.
